MYPA (Malt Yeast Peptone Agar):

This nutrient-rich agar formulation provides the perfect foundation for long-term storage of your cultures, ensuring their viability for over a year.

Follow the recipe below to create 1000ml of MYPA (Malt Yeast Peptone Agar):

Ingredients:

• 20 grams Agar Agar
• 20 grams Light Malt Extract

Instructions:

1. In a suitable container, measure out 20 grams of Agar Agar.
2. Add 20 grams of Light Malt Extract to the container.
3. Incorporate 1 gram Peptone into the mixture.
4. Include 1 gram of Yeast to complete the recipe.
5. Adjust the ratios according to your specific water requirements.
6. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients to ensure a homogeneous mixture.
7. Sterilize the MYPA mixture using the appropriate method, such as pressure sterilization or autoclaving.
8. After sterilization, pour the agar mixture into petri dishes or other desired containers.
9. Allow the agar to cool and solidify before use.
10. Inoculate the agar with your desired mushroom culture or use it for spore germination, cloning, or strain isolation.

Important: Whether you are doing Agar or Liquid Culture, for healthier and vigorous mycelium, add

• Use  distilled water
• 1g of Peptone per 1 litre
• 1g of Yeast Extract per 1 litre
